GERRY
MANDEL
Gerry
graduated from Washington University School of Business Administration.
He then spent his career in the creative department of several major
advertising agencies, including D’Arcy Advertising, where
he was a Senior VP. He also worked at Gardner Advertising for several
years as a writer and producer. He worked on a wide variety of national
brands, and was creative director on Budweiser for six years, during
the 1980’s. That was the era when “This Bud’s
for you” was established. He also worked as a writer and producer
on Busch Beer and Bud Malt Liquor during the 70’s. Gerry has
won numerous national and international awards for his work.

DAVE
MORRIS
Dave’s
background has been on the brewery/client side. He graduated from
the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Dave then spent
nearly a decade as a Group Marketing Director at Anheuser-Busch,
where he was responsible for all of the company’s popular
priced brands. He was also Vice President of Marketing at both Stroh
and Heileman Breweries. He managed marketing programs for a multitude
of national and regional beer brands including Busch, Old Milwaukee,
Schlitz, Natural Light, Jax and Colt 45. Dave was adept at turning
around declining brands, which earned him the nickname “The
Brand Doctor” at A-B.

BEER

This one-hour presentation consists of beer commercials going back
to the 1960’s, including some brands you’ve probably never
heard of before. Jax, Stroh’s, Primo, Schlitz, Schlitz Light,
Bud, Busch, Old Milwaukee, and several others. Dave and Gerry have
appeared before a variety of groups and classes, and the response
